PESHAWAR, December 6: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Muzaffar Said Advocate has reiterated firm pledge of his government that drive against privately run interest based businesses would be reached to its logical end to discourage such mafia in society wherein needy people were ruthlessly exploited in the past and many families ruined financially. Similarly he said, concrete measures for elimination of corruption from the society, promoting religious teachings and values in the provinces and ensuring supremacy of merit and law would be maintained at all costs.
He was talking to joint delegation of the elite of southern districts including Tank and Bannu that called on him at his office Civil Secretariat Peshawar with Abdul Qader and Muhammad Sajad, the present and former Tank district Amirs of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) at the head. The delegation besides apprising the minister of their regional problems and demands, lauded steps of KP Government in respect of launching crackdown against private interest based business and assured their all out cooperation in this regard.
Muzaffar Said Advocate assuring the resolution of all genuine grievances of the delegation, said that expedited pace of development of all the southern districts including Tank and Bannu, was top most priority of the present coalition government. He said that expansion and reconstruction of Indus Highway as part of CPEC Western route and establishment of oil refinery on emergent ground were being given special attention as, he said, it would prove mile-stone in bringing about industrial and economic revolution in the southern districts and entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the long run.-PR
