- Says CPEC has added yet another dimension to prospects of development of different regions of the country
ISLAMABAD, December 8: President Mamnoon Hussain has called for flawless planning for economic development of the country.
He was speaking at the national conference on Elements of National Power in Islamabad on Thursday. The President said there is need to formulate strategy for national development and stability keeping in view key factors. He said education being key to progress and development, we must give priority to quality of education and research and development.
President Mamnoon Hussain said an effective strategy should be devised to evaluate standards of education in the country. He said this is necessary because of questions being raised about quality and standard of education as highlighted by poor performance in competitive examination.
The President said Pakistan has all the necessary elements to grow and prosper. It is located at the confluence of important regions, has fertile land and is rich in natural resources. He said all sectors of the economy have shown improvement during the last three years and this is being acknowledged by neutral global institutions.
President Mamnoon Hussain said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has added yet another dimension to prospects of development of different regions of the country. He called for complete national harmony for successful completion of the corridor.
Mamnoon Hussain said our defence is in strong hands and the armed forces are recognized as one of the best and the most organized in the world.–NNI
