Siraj-ul-HaqMARDAN/LAHORE, Dec ember 13: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the most sacred place in the world after Holy Makkah and Madina was Pakistan that had been established in the name of Islam to be built after the Madina state.
However, he said, that the gang of the corrupt ruling the country had defamed this sacred name due to their misdeeds and wrong policies. He was addressing the Mardan district bar association, on Tuesday.
Sirajul Haq said that the JI’s mission was to eliminate VIP culture and establish a foolproof system for accountability. He said that accountability should begin with the Prime Minister and his family and added that as a result of true accountability, most of those sitting in the assemblies would be behind the bars.
He said the JI wanted the Panama Leaks case to end within the current year and it was unfortunate that it was lingering on. He said that elections and democracy sans accountability were meaningless.
The JI chief said that Pakistan and corruption could not coexist and added that great misgivings were being created due to unfair distribution of resources. Besides, he said, electoral reforms were essential before the next general elections to bring forth real leadership of the masses.
He demanded the merger of FATA with Khyber P. and said that only the vested interests were opposing the move. He also demanded abolition of the FCR.
Sirajul Haq also addressed a ceremony where former chairman district bar Fazl Khan, announced quitting the JUI to join the JI with his family and friends.
He also administered oath to the newly elected office bearers of the Islamic Lawyers Forum, including President Ajmal Abbasi, vice President Faizul Hasan and General Secretary Muslim Shah.
Meanwhile Ameer, JI Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has expressed deep grief over the continuous shelling by Syrian army over the city of Halab resulting in the martyrdom of hundreds of innocent citizens and has appealed to the world community to break is criminal silence over that.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, he condemned the double standards of the United Nations and demanded immediate action against those responsible for the human rights violations in Syria. -Sabah
