
RAWALPINDI, January 23: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said counter terrorism operations have made Pakistan Army battle hardened which is a value addition in operational preparedness.
He expressed the remarks while addressing soldiers and officers of the Multan Garrison during his visit to the city on Monday.
According to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Corps Commander Multan Lieutenant General Sarfraz Sattar briefed the COAS on operational preparations and administration of troops.
He appreciated the Multan Corps for taking part in operations against terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwan and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
The army chief especially praised them for concurrently keeping themselves fully trained and prepared to thwart challenges of conventional war.
He said that soldiers of Pakistan Army are the best in the world. “I am proud to be the chief of army staff of a brave and highly professional army,” General Bajwa said.
“Our experience of counter-terrorism operations has made us battle hardened which is a value add-on in operational preparedness.”
He directed officers and soldiers to keep themselves fully trained and abreast to defeat all types of threats.
Soldiers freely interacted with the army chief and expressed pride and eagerness to selflessly serve the country and the nation.
Earlier, on arrival at Multan, General Bajwa was received by the Corps Commander Multan. The COAS laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fatiha for the martyrs. -DNA
