ISLAMABAD, February 6: Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has devised effective and comprehensive strategy to address issues of residents of Islamabad.
This comprehensive strategy has started to bear fruits. Stepwise action of Islamabad development roadmap has started.
We expect representatives of Islamabad to perform up to the mark and according to expectations of residents of Islamabad.
Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views during the meeting with Mayor of United Kingdom’s city High Wycombe, Raja Zia Ahmad at CDA Headquarters on Monday. Bothe the Mayors held detailed discussion on issues of mutual concern.
Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA briefed the visiting Mayor of High Wycombe about ongoing and proposed mega projects in Islamabad.
The Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz told the visiting High Wycombe’s Mayor that for the first time in the history Islamabad has its elected representatives lead by Mayor.
The public representatives have taken this opportunity as challenge and are burning midnight’s oil for welfare of Islamabad and its residents. The public representatives are trying to further beautify Islamabad to promote it as model metropolis.
Mayor High Wycombe, Raja Zia Ahmed on the occasion appreciated Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his decision to institute local government system in Islamabad. Local governments are the valid and appropriate forum to address public issues.
Public Representatives from gross route level can better understand problems of masses and can devised the solution, Mayor High Wycombe, Raja Zia Ahmed rather said on the occasion.
