- Says Asian countries carry huge natural & human resources potential
ISLAMABAD, March 2: Pakistan on Thursday condemned the latest terrorist attacks in Kabul, which killed at least 15 people and injured dozens.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks on targets including a police headquarters in the western part of the capital city.
“Pakistan strongly condemns horrific suicide attacks on 1st March 2017 in Kabul, resulting in deaths of several people and injuring dozens others including women and children,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
“We convey our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prayers for early recovery of the injured,” the spokesman said in a statement.
He reiterated Pakistan’s “unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations and reaffirms its commitment for unrelenting efforts and cooperation with Afghan Government and international community for eliminating this menace.”
Earlier Wednesday, a suicide car bomber struck an Afghan police precinct in western Kabul, reports said.
Shortly after the attack, a suicide bomber blew himself up at the gates of an Afghan intelligence agency branch in eastern Kabul as another attacker was gunned down while trying to enter the compound.

Talking to state-run media, he said Asian countries carry huge natural and human resources potential for foreign investment which can be exploited by enhancing connectivity and infrastructure development.
To a question, he said the South AsianAssociation for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit which was due in Pakistan was postponed for time being but it will be held later at appropriate time.
Nafees Zakaria said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game changer project for Pakistan as well as for entire region.
He said Pakistan has become a significant country due to the CPEC project which would increase connectivity among the countries of the region. -DNA
