ISLAMABAD, February 12: President Mamnoon Hussain has said Pakistan welcomes Japanese investments in diverse fields especially in energy sector.
He was talking to outgoing Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Inomata who paid a farewell call on him in Islamabad on Friday.
The President expressed the hope that Japan should complete Karachi Circular Railway Project. He also appreciated the ambassador’s contribution in further strengthening bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the nation to participate in country’s construction by following the footprints of its forefathers. Addressing a function organized in memory of the veteran leader of Pakistan movement Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar in Islamabad on Friday evening, he said lives of the founder of Pakistan and his close aides were free of contradictions.
The President said Sardar Abdur Rab Nihstar was a trusted fellow of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He said Sardar Abdur Rab Nihstar had rendered great services for the promotion of Urdu and rehabilitation of migrants at the time of partition.
Mamnoon Hussain said being federal minister and Governor of Punjab Sardar Abdur Rab Nihstar had not used his authority for personal gains.
He said the veteran leader had played an important role in creation and construction of Pakistan. He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Port are long term projects initiated for the development of the country in line with the ideology of its forefathers.-DNA
