LAHORE, February 14: American Consul General Zachary Harkenrider called on Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Matters of mutual interest, promotion of bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in various sectors particularly energy sector were discussed during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that the friendship of Pakistan and America is based on multidimensional relations and increasing cooperation of America in energy sector of Pakistan is commendable.
He said that economy of Pakistan is progressing speedily due to which energy requirements are also increasing.
Referring to Pak-America relations, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan and America are partners of each other in promoting tolerance, patience and forbearance and both the countries have common approach in this regard.
He said that setting up of a society based on tolerance, moderation and patience is our mission and this great objective of Quaid-i-Azam will certainly be achieved.
American Consul General Zachary Harkenrider, talking on the occasion, said that the sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terrorism cannot be forgotten.
He said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is serving the people diligently and his performance is laudable.-Sabah
