ISLAMABAD, April 19: Chairman Nab Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has directed to conduct complaint verification against speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj khan Durrani and Secretary Sindh Assembly Ghulam Umer Farooq for their alleged involvement in illegal appoints and corruption in the construction of Sindh Assembly new building.
The DG NAB Karachi was directed to verify the another complaint against Agha Siraj Durrani for having assets beyond known source of income.
The chairman NAB directed to conduct complaint varification against Federal Railway minister and others for their alleged lavish expenditures on purchasing 4500 horse power lokomotives , track maintenance machines and leasing out precious Railway land in Lahore to favourites on through away prices that too in violation of rules. NAB has filed a reference against former secretary land utilisation and member Revenue Board Sindh Shah zar Shamon in a case of alleged illegal allotment of 530 acres land. The legal proceedings of reference are under process as per law in Accountability Court Karachi.
The chairman NAB has sought report of latest progress on one investigation and four inquiries being conducted against Shah zar Shamon. The NAB has decided to bring back Shah zar Shamon to country by writing a letter to Interpol.
NAB has also filed a reference in Accountability Court Karachi against former director general Sindh Building Control Authority Manzoor Qadir. Legal proceedings are continuing in the reference.
The chairman NAB has sought report of the latest progress on the two inquiries and two investigations conducted against Manzoor Qadir. A letter will also be written to Interpol to bring back Manzoor Qadir from abroad.-DNA
