- Says Pakistani-produced urea is expensive than imported one
ISLAMABAD, February 26: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday said that federal government was committing injustice and brutality with innocent people while imposing additional tax on gas, power and diesel.
In a statement issued here, he said that first time in the history, the domestic made urea was being sold at 250% extra prices in the country and approximately Rs.30 billion were being charged from farmers in one year through additional money.
“Fertilizer factories in census with federal government selling urea at high rates and farmers were being deprived of benefits of reduction in the cost of agri products”, he added.
Imran Khan further said that government on one hand claims to give relief to the people while on other hands it was breaking the back bone of the farmers while imposing additional taxes on gas, power and diesel.
He added that government is getting foreign debts to run the business of the state and investment worth billions of dollar was being made with the money earned through corruption and unfair means.
“The Pakistanis have raised properties worth 6.6 billion dollars, which are approximately Rs.700 billion in Dubai. As per land record of Dubai only in 2015, Pakistanis have purchased properties worth 2 billion US $ in Dubai”, Chairman PTI concluded.-Online
