The common man is eagerly awaiting the day when the government would document the national economy as without it a fair and effective taxation system simply cannot be evolved. Delay in the matter is causing concern among those people who have voted PTI into power. They also stand disappointed on the visible change in the policy of the present rulers on the question of Amnesty Tax Schemes. It seems they are treading the same path which two of their predecessor rulers had adopted during their stint in office . Small wonder the man in the street is now saying that he doesn’t see any visible difference in the economic policies of the present government and those governments which have been ruling the roost in the country during the past three decades or so.
Most of the people apprehend that relaxation in the visa policy of the government would open the floodgate of the terrorists instead of tourists. In the modern world unconventional warfare has taken place instead of the conventional wars which even the superpowers cannot afford now and the main weapon which the countries employ against the countries which they want to destabilise is that they penetrate them through suicide bombers and other agents trained for carrying out many other types of terrorist activities there. On the one hand we are fencing our borders to checkmate terrorism but on the other we have now made it easy for the terrorists to enter this country through a highly soft visa policy . Why the hell should tourists come to this country unless there is complete calm and tranquility in our cities?. We had better first concentrate on improving our law and order if we want to attract tourists to this country and promote tourism.
