PESHAWAR, April 3: Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Furqat A. Sidikov has said a roadmap for boosting Pak-Uzbek bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation must be devised and agreed to continue collaboration in all areas.
In his address at an Interactive Session on “Pakistan-Uzbekistan Relations and Enhancing Academic Institutional Cooperation” organized by the Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS) Islamabad with Area Study Centre of University of Peshawar in Peshawar, the Uzbek ambassador expressed his desire to witness a rapid increase in the bilateral cooperation in the coming years and ensured full support.
Furqat A. Sidikov said that Pakistan and Uzbekistan must organize various tourism, cultural, scientific, technical and educational exchange programs which will further enable both the countries to boost their bilateral relationship.

former Vice Chancellor/former Director at Area Study Centre of University of Peshawar Professor Dr Azmat Hayat Khan also addressed the Session.
The panelists were of the view that enhancing the academic institutional cooperation can give a new direction to the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan and can pave the way for very meaningful engagement between the two countries which will provide further boost in the days ahead.
