LAHORE, May 6: Former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will be sent back to jail today (Tuesday) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to set up 10 camps to express solidarity with Nawaz Sharif.
PML-N has also decided to hang banners throughout the city against the increase in the prices of petrol. On the other hand, spokesperson of the PML-N, Marriyum Aurangzeb said in her tweet that Prime Minister should make clear in the parliament instead of delivering speech for an hour that as to why petrol bomb was dropped upon the masses before Ramazan.
Marriyum Aurangzeb raised a question that on what rate country was mortgaged to IMF and as to why an employee of IMF was appointed as governor of State Bank of Pakistan overnight.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier Nawaz Sharif spent three months at the Kot Lakhpat Jail after being convicted in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills reference on December 24, 2018. He was sentenced to seven years in jail but his lawyers had appealed to the top court to suspend his sentence until the final verdict in his appeal is announced.
The Supreme Court approved his bail plea on medical grounds. The apex court approved his bail for six weeks which is expiring today.-Sabah
