My rise in advertising in 1980s was so overwhelming that my real identity got blurred. I have reasons to claim that in 1960s I was one of 3 top-ranked editors in the country. When I resigned as Editor Mashriq for political reasons I was drawing Rs 2000 pm .Gold was Rs 100 per tola.

In 1985 I brought Inam Akbar in Midas. He had acquired Engineering degree. In 1986 I brought in Aftab Akbar also. Nadeem waited till 1998 as he was doing Chartered Accountancy. With Asad Inam my next generation has stepped in. It is not to end there. My children own a Midas each.

Just happened to check my academic record. I excelled in a strange combination. Languages Arithmetic Algebra & Geometry. Languages meant English Urdu& Sindhi. I secured second position in Sindhi which I had opted as mother tongue. Urdu was my NMT. Matric meant 11th class in Sindh.
