Mr. Ghulam Akbar, Senior Advisory Board Member, Centre for Global and Strategic Studies and Editor in Chief Daily National Herald Tribune was amongst the International Observers from Pakistan to monitor Parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan. In line with his duty he visited a number of Polling Stations in Bukhara and expressed his complete satisfaction with regard to the free fair and peaceful conduct of the Elections. He also hailed the Election Commission of Uzbekistan for making foolproof arrangements for the error free elections which are being considered as an important step forward for the strengthening of democratic process in the countryy. “We became a family of five in Bukhara. Madam Shakhlo mother of three , Ulugbek, Lazizbek and Shohrat. We also had our last lunch in Bukhara. They saw me off in the train. In the train I met two old men who knew nothing about Pakistan but became my friends so had a selfie.”, adds upon arrival in Tashkent was once again received by his enthusiastic young friends Wazira and Zohidjan (Guide & Translator ), who have virtually fallen in love with Pakistan. “
