Daily National Herald Tribune ( NHT) and the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) on Tuesday. Mr. Ghulam Akbar, Editor – in – Chief inked the agreement on behalf of the National Herald Tribune while from the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) it was signed by its General Director Mr. Abdusaid Kuchimov.
Accordingly, both the sides will establish a permanent contact for the regular flow of information, news, pictures in English about the current events in the domestic and internatinal life within the framework of the legislation of their respective countries by using the Agency, Newspaper websites, e mail or other means of communication.
Moreover, both the sides will closely cooperate with each other in providing information support for significant events held in their respective territories. After the signing ceremony, both the signatories expressed not only their happiness over the development but also hoped that it will prove a milestone in promotion of close brotherly relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
Earlier on his arrival at the venue, Mr. Ghulam Akbar was not only accorded a warm welcome but also presented Amir Tamour’s traditional robe and cap by Mr. Abdusaid Kuchimov. In return, Mr. Ghulam Akbar thanked Mr. Kuchimov and other members of the Organization for granting the honour.
