Pervez MusharrafISLAMABAD, March 10: Supreme Court (SC) has admitted for hearing a petition filed by former president Pervez Musharraf seeking removal of his name from Exit Control List (ECL) and ordered for fixing the plea for hearing on March 15.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice (CJ) Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain will hear the appeal plea.
Former president Pervez Musharraf took the plea that his spinal cord has developed some defect and it cannot be removed without surgery. This is adversely affecting his brain directly and doctors have advised immediate surgery to him. His proceeding abroad is must so that he could get proper treatment therein. It is therefore, requested that orders be issued for removing his name from ECL.-Agencies
