- Govt to provide interest-free loans to 80,000 people per month, while 50,000 scholarships will be provided to under-graduate students every year
LAYYAH, February 21: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan has come out of the difficult period. He said that the country was indebted and loans were taken from abroad and installments of these loans had to pay every year, adding that if we did not pay the installments of the loans taken by previous government then the country had to default. He said that if the country had defaulted the prices of things which are today would have doubled. He said that with the blessings of Almighty Allah the country have come out of this difficult period. He said that the life is not easy in future as there are big challenges present, adding that the country is now on the right path. Prime Minister said the formation of Islamic welfare state on the pattern of Madina is a vision of PTI government.
Addressing the launching ceremony of Ehsaas Amdan Programme in Layyah on Friday, he said the government is working on different projects to establish as an Islamic welfare state on the pattern of Madina. He said that the current account deficit has decreased by 75 percent in one year, adding that the devaluation of rupee has stopped and in fact the value of rupee has increased. He said that the stock market has gone up and foreign investment has started coming in Pakistan. He said that the people will hear good news in future days.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he has asked Inspector General of Punjab Police Shoaib Dastgir to apprehend the big dacoits in every district of Punjab.
He said that the nations are destroyed when small thieves are apprehended and big dacoits roam in big houses and go to London and live in big houses. Imran Khan said that we want such system in which big dacoits and killers are arrested and police should place them behind the bars and small dacoits will correct themselves automatically. He said that the IGP Punjab has started this work.
The prime minister said justice and welfare of people are a prerequisite to keep the country stable and secure. Imran Khan said the government wants to empower downtrodden and financially poor segment of society.
Imran Khan expressed the hope that the economic and social reforms initiated by the PTI-led government would bring about a positive change in the lives of citizens.
He said the government will provide interest-free loans to 80,000 people per month, while 50,000 scholarships will be provided to under graduate students every year.
Imran Khan expressed the confidence that the government has already established 180 shelter homes across the country, while work on creating further shelter homes is underway.
He said the government will provide free legal assistance to the under privileged segment of society so that dispensation of justice can be ensured.
The Prime Minister said the government will provide 6 million health cards to people across Punjab out of which 5 million has already been issued. Imran Khan said the government is working on introducing uniform curriculum to overcome discrimination in field of education.-Agencies
