- Says KP govt focusing on the provision of health and education facilities to the masses
PESHAWAR, March 12: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that steps are underway to reform health care delivery system in the province adding that all hospitals of the province will be equipped with staff and equipment so that common men could be provided better health services. This, he said, after performing ground breaking ceremony of the up-gradation of Rural Health Center Manki Sharif to Category-D hospital at Manki Sharif District Nowshera. Provincial Minister Mian Jamsheduddin and District Nazim Nowshera Liaqat Khattak were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that provincial government was focusing on the provision of health and education facilities to the masses. He informed that staff and other facilities were being provided to the public sector hospitals to bring it at par with private sector health institution. The Chief Minister disclosed that visible improvement will be witnessed in the quality of services of tertiary care hospitals within few months. He further said that funds were also allocated for improvement of district headquarter hospitals and Tehsil headquarter hospitals. Similarly he said that lucrative incentives were being provided to the doctors of the hospitals of the far flung areas to ensure presence of staff in these hospitals. He further said that monitoring system had been introduced at health outlets and educational institutions of the province to ensure availability of staff. The Chief Minister elaborated that developmental activities were being carried out throughout the province and hope that within next two year no part of the province would remain as under developed. The Chief Minister said that reforms of police system, improvement of Thana culture and rectification of Patwari system were among the priority areas of the present government. He said that improvement and beautification of Peshawar city was in full swing at a cost Rs. 50 billion. He further said that 100 latest air conditioned buses would be introduced in Peshawar city soon.-PR
