Tajikistan intends to expand the list of importers of liquefied gas. The Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, told reporters. According to him, now the main suppliers of fuel for Tajikistan are Russia and Kazakhstan, ORIENT reported.
Turkmenistan will now receive more gas from the republic. The countries recently signed an agreement on which Tajikistan could receive an unlimited amount of these resources, Juma stressed. He noted that by 2021 the republic had already received 5,000 from the neighboring country. According to Sputnik, Tajikistan. In total, Tajikistan imported 410 thousand. tons of fuel, 360 thousand t of which were imported from Kazakhstan. The remaining volume of liquefied gas came from Russia.
In Ashgabat, in August 2021, following negotiations between Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, a package of documents was signed on cooperation in the field of gas transportation and transportation.
