Says the armed forces are committed and ready to go to any extent to curb terrorism

PESHAWAR, March 24: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak has linked the restoration of peace in the province with stability in Afghanistan.
He said that terrorism was an international issue and there was utmost need of courage and unified struggle to combat it. This, he said while speaking at the condolence reference arranged to pay homage to late Haji Haleem Jan Shaheed at Nishterabad Peshawar on Friday.
Speaker Provincial Assembly Asad Qaiser, Parliamentarians, high ranking government officers, representatives of the traders communities and social figures attended the ceremony.
CM KP while speaking on the occasion lauded the contribution of Haji Haleem Jan and said that his sacrifice would always be remembered.
Commenting on the need of restoration peace in the province, he said that the province was faced with the challenge of terrorism for the last couple of years. The Chief Minister said that instead of losing heart there was dire need to combat terrorism jointly. He elaborated that systematic steps were being taken to curb the menace of terrorism. He went on to say that armed forces of the country were committed and were ready to go to any extent to curb terrorism.
The Chief Minister said that peace was essential in Afghanistan for bringing stability to the whole region. He said that the provincial government, on the demand of traders community had asked the federal government for repatriation of FC troops to the province. He further said that Afghan Ambassador was categorically informed for ensuring registration of Afghan refugees in the province and there repatriation to Afghanistan as well. The Chief Minister pinpointed that dignified repatriation of Afghan refugees was must for restoration of durable peace in the province. The Chief Minister said that funding of terrorist from cross the border was basic the cause of terrorism and that is why steps were needed to control the sources of funding. The Chief Minister on the demand of the traders community announced to name Hepatitis hospital as Haji Haleem Jan hospital. – Online
