ISLAMABAD, March 10:Iran’s permanent representative to the Vienna-based International Organizations said that the Israeli regime’s secret nuclear programme poses a serious and continuing threat to regional peace and security.
In response to the Israeli regime representative’s remarks at the meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors regarding the implementation of IAEA safeguards in Iran and the threat of an attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, Mohammad Reza Ghaebi called the remarks “stupid and fabricated claims” and called Israel’s secret nuclear program a threat to regional peace and security. He noted that the international community has repeatedly stressed the necessity for the Zionist regime’s join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and placing all its nuclear facilities under comprehensive IAEA safeguards through numerous resolutions and decisions. However, the Zionist regime did not join the NPandut to develop its military nuclear programme. Stressing that any international organization does not control the Israeli regime’s secret nuclear program, he highlighted that the Zionist regime uses the lack of such surveillance to develop.-PR
