On 2 June 2022, Sasol and Uzbekistan GTL signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the supply of low-temperature Fischer-Tropsch™ (LTFT™) catalysts.
The signing took place at the 27th Caspian Oil and Gas International Exhibition as part of the Baku Energy Week, one of the most prestigious events in the energy sector of the Caspian region, which takes place in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
The MoU builds on the original 2018 Catalyst Supply Agreement between Sasol and Uzbekistan GTL and includes the supply of a new generation Sasol eco (G3) catalyst.
“The Memorandum of Understanding is an important step in expanding our fruitful cooperation with our reliable partner Uzbekistan GTL. We are watching with great interest the success of the GTL project in Uzbekistan. We are confident that the delivery of next generation catalysts will further increase the efficiency of our manufacturing processes,” said Dr. Kronje Grove, Vice President Advanced Materials, Sasol Chemicals. Sasol Chemicals’ leadership position in GTL catalysts is underlined by the recent creation of the CARE-O-SENE consortium, focused on the development and production of next generation catalysts.- Uz Daily
