ISLAMABAD, June 20: Chief Executive IESCO Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan has said that rains are continuing in the IESCO region due to which the risk of electric shock increases and they can be protected only by taking precautionary and safety measures, during the rains. IESCO line staff is always present in the grievance offices to rectify the power supply interruptions or faults and strive for immediate redressal of consumer grievances in a short span of time. The IESCO Chief requested the consumers to keep proper distance from electrical installations such as power lines, transformers during rainy season and not to touch electrical appliances in case of wet body,do not tie animals under power poles and wires, fix old wiring of houses with experienced electricianand to take all these precautionary and safety measures. Young children must be made aware of this. The IESCO Chief has also instructed the line staff to ensure the use of all safety equipment while working on line and for redressal of other grievances and to avoid excessive self-confidence and adhere to safety SOPs. The IESCO Chief has informed the consumers that in case of electricity related complaints / emergencies, call the Complaints Office numbers given on the bills, Helpline 118 or the Chief Executive Complaints and Monitoring Cell numbers 051-9252933 so that Timely action should be taken.-PR
