Resolve to continue martyrs’ mission reaffirmed
SRINAGAR, March 30: In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has called for settlement of the Kashmir dispute to ensure lasting peace in South Asian region.
The demand was made at the APHC Executive Council meeting, presided over by its Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar, Wednesday.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on the occasion said the Hurriyet wants cordial relations between Pakistan and India, but for this the two countries would have to resolve the long-pending dispute.
The participants of the meeting expressed condolences with the families of victims of Lahore blasts.
They also paid glowing tributes to Ishfaq Majid Wani, Shabbir Siddiqui, Dr Abdul Ahad Guro, Advocate Jalil Andrabi, and other thousands of Kashmiri martyrs. Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders have reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ commitment to continue the mission of their martyrs till it reaches its logical conclusion.
The reaffirmation was made during a meeting organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front at the Martyrs’ Graveyard in Eidgah area of Srinagar. The event was held to pay tributes to a martyred leader, Ishfaq Majeed Wani, on his martyrdom anniversary today.-KMS
