PML (N) spokespersons— specially Information Minister Pervez Raheed are issuing more and more statements on behalf of the Government of India. The hounourable minister has yet again ‘announced’ categorically that both Pakistan and India will not allow themselves to be held hostages by terrorists and pursue their ‘peace objectives’ relentlessly. Such a statement if issued on behalf of only Islamabad can be regarded as understandable. Our Prime Minister is as keen as Washington to rush into a warm embrace with New Dehli. This keenness has a lot to do with his son’s overt as well as covert connections with Jindal the Modi-backed Indian tycoon whose RAW connections are no great secret.
But how can Pervez Rasheed issue this kind of a statement on behalf of India. How can he be sure that the Pathan Kot attack wasn’t yet another masterly-organised operation of the RAW? How does he know India is not behind most terrorism against Pakistan?
The nations whose leaders fall into a mindset of self-deception or who view the world around them from the viewpoint of their ‘vested’ interests, have ‘excellent’ reasons to be rocked by hazards again and again. Infact their leaders become their hazards.
A strange equation is developing. The PML (N) leadership is claiming that General Raheel Sharif and Mian Nawaz Sharif are on the same page. Mian Nawaz Sharif and Narendar Modi are claiming to be on the same page. The deductive logic says that in such a case General Raheel Sharif too ought to be on the same page.
Does such a page exist?
